About The Farm

Welcome to Sweet Sun Farm we are excited to grow with you!

Sweet Sun Farm is now moving into the 3rd year of production come 2025. Time flies while farming, am I right? We have the amazing pleasure of offering our locally grown blooms to the Rhode Island community and or neighboring states through a variety of ways! Many have found us at the Casey Farm farmers market in Saunderstown RI, as well as businesses and individuals ordering weekly subscription bouquets and special event arrangements. I can’t forget to write about the wonderful couples that have chosen us over the past two years to adorn their weddings and accompanied events with our flowers and floral design experience.

I want to say thank you to all who have purchased our products at the farmers market or used our floral services to decorate their office spaces, specialty events or weddings. We wouldn’t be here without you so thanks!

About the farmers

Gabby: Owner/ Lead Designer

I started farming in 2020 at an organic vegetable farm while I finished my undergraduate degrees at URI. I have fallen in love with growing food for my family and flowers for my community to enjoy. Over the past 3 years I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge from my farming mentors and will continue to build and share this wisdom as we grow our farm. While working on a veggie farm was amazing and has given me the tools to grow for my family, flowers and design has become my main farming passion. For me flowers isn’t just about bringing beauty to people but also nurturing the land and creating an environment where native species thrive and survive.

A fun fact about me is I consider myself a foodie and love adventuring out into my home state to find new restaurants that feed my soul. I also LOVE bugs.

Cody: Field Manager

Cody shared his passion for farming and working with the land with me when we first started dating back in 2021. This has grown into him actively participating in growing our farm. Cody is great with tools and heavy lifting and leads the construction projects that we do on the farm. He enjoys the beauty of how plants grow from seedlings to mature plants and will be with me in the fields harvesting and planting whenever he can.

A fun fact about Cody is that he is an information whiz and loves to learn about cultures and history across the world. He is also a big fan of dinosaurs!

Nora: Office Manager

Nora is my lovely mom and #1 cheerleader. She has given me all the possible opportunities to succeed in life. She will be working alongside me to harvest and do some general fieldwork as well as helping organize the farms’ paperwork and business affairs.

A fun fact about my mom is that she loves all things art and décor, she has built a beautiful home filled with timeless pieces and elegant colors as well as created a few fun pieces herself. She also enjoys her 100 + houseplant collection!!

Kane: Farm Dog

Kane is a sweet and gentle boy that would love a treat and belly rub when you come to visit. He is a goober and loved by all who meet him. His “woo woos” will catch your heart and keep you a bit longer to throw a toy a time or two.

A fun fact about the good boy is that he loves laying in newly planted beds; especially when mom says no.
